You obviously didn't follow the Wings much this season. Tyler Bozak? He might be a 4th line center on the Wings. Trade ageing players like Zetterberg (The Captain) and Datsyuk and sign even older much less talented players in Alfredsson and Iginla. You should apply to be GM of the Leafs!

He may want to leave that tidbit off of his resume when going for his next job. "I didn't suggest acquiring Joe Corvo when we lost Montie." Definitely a turn off for the next GM he interviews with.

You left one out...could actually be the number one reason. Lindy had no feasible way to replace Steve Montador on the defensive unit after he was traded away.

is their a salary cap or something of that sort in the nhl? i dont really pay attention to money matters in hockey as i do with other sports. hockey is about the only sport where i dont stress myself with that.. i just go and watch and have fun lol

So you'd put the Capitals in the division with the Bruins and Canadiens and go: Senators, Sabres, Toronto? That division sorta works, but part of the lineup was based on actual market size and the Caps can't compete with the Bruins and Habs, plus the Sens, Sabres and Toronto are almost the same market anyway... Still, it could work.

I'm not so sure on that. Bob McKenzie seems to have seen the lockout coming months ago. I wasn't too sure where the collective heads of ownership were until I saw the first proposal.
